The new pictures I've uploaded are a mixture of springtime flowers and "prom pictures".
I was absolutely excited to take pictures of all of my friends before they went to their proms.
If there are any ideas you may have for upcoming prom pictures (as not all proms have passed yet) I would love to hear them!
Also, any constructive criticism, as always, is appreciated.

It's about time for an update.
My laptop died back in December and is still being lame, so what pictures I have been able to upload might be a little late in season, particularly those "love"-themed, even though love is an ALL YEAR theme ;)

I've been reading up on the technicalities of photography and only getting more excited with every topic. I can't wait to learn about it in depth.

I'm contemplating deleting some of the older pictures taken when I first opened this account. They throw off my gallery, you know? Word.

New Camera!

Journal Entry: Wed Oct 24, 2007, 3:28 PM
For my birthday, which was in September, I got a Cannon Rebel XTi.
:D
I didn't actually get it until a few days ago... but I assure you, I've been taking tons of pictures. Now that they're coming from a better camera, I figured I'd make a change. From now on, my pictures are going to be copyrighted by a signature in one of the top or bottom corners. Can you blame me for being protective? :)
Anyway, I'd love to get some advice/feedback on the camera and the pictures I've taken so far. Lately they've just been experimental, but I am pretty excited at how they've turned out.

Riley Peyton

Journal Entry: Wed Aug 15, 2007, 6:53 PM
Riley Peyton is a little girl. She's my cousin. Well, second-cousin, really. She and her family reside happily in a little town in south-central Illinois (population 1000). Each year, the town has a picnic at the end of July. The fair lasts from Wednesday to Friday, and each day there is an event. On the first day, a "Little Miss & Mister" pageant is held, and this year, Riley entered.
Riley won. She was by far the cutest girl in the pageant, claiming that when she grows up she wants to train her cats in the circus. Nobody could deny her. My most recently added pictures star mostly her in them, from the preparation for the pageant to the outcome. She's adorable, I know, so show her some love! :)

The rest of the pictures I have uploaded today are from IL as well, and feature other family members or myself. Enjoy!

Beach Series

Journal Entry: Sat Feb 24, 2007, 8:27 PM
My latest uploads are a mixture of pictures of sunsets, plants/flowers, birds, and people. They were all taken in Sarasota, Florida, particularly on Siesta Key. Most of the sunset ones were used with a tinted lens or edited (on the camera) for shadowing.
I'd like some feedback, they seem pretty popular.
